On February 28th, 2019, we hosted our first Alpha Focus Session on search data. We discussed various characteristics of Google Trends data, analytical techniques used at Eagle Alpha to download, process, and extract insight from the data.

Using web crawl data investors can monitor regular price, markdown and promotional discounting trends across US apparel retail companies. The data provided an early read on improving fundamentals at Urban Outfitters in late 2017 and through 2018.
