On November 30th, 2017, Eagle Alpha organized the first one-day event dedicated to how equity investors are using alternative data. The event was hosted by FactSet at their London offices.
WorldQuant, a quantitative investment management firm, published an overview article on the topic of Big Data stating that ‘access to large diverse quantities of data has the capability to revolutionize our world, but only if we can harness the tools and technology to manage, store and analyze it.’
Clifton Global, an international executive search firm specializing in the placement of quants and big/alternative data executives, published the attached report that examines hiring trends for alternative data focused asset managers.
